ASRA Canyon Keepers

The ASRA Canyon Keepers conduct a volunteer docent program for the North and Middle Forks of the American River. We supplement the professional ranger staff, under the supervision of ASRA’s supervising ranger, and are a presence at the river confluence on weekends between May and October (look for our blue & white banner on the beach near the Old Forest Hill bridge). We patrol beaches and trails, providing information to river and canyon users on local history, plants and animals, trail locations, safety concerns, conservation and preservation practices. Join us for our monthly meetings!  Refreshments at 5:45 PM with meeting beginning at 6:15 PM. The public is welcome.
