2007 JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM

California
State Parks presents their annual Auburn
State Recreation Area Junior
Ranger Program for 2007 for children 7-12 years of age.
This year,
the Junior Rangers will meet on 6 consecutive Saturdays from June 9th through
July 14th from 9am - 10:30am. The program is held at the confluence
of the American River,
3 miles south of Auburn.
Each session will focus on a particular aspect of the American River
Canyon, and weekly topics
will include animal life, local plants, and Native Americans (Maidu) Activities
will range from crafts and games to nature hikes.
This program
is led by members of the Auburn
State Recreation
Area Canyon
Keepers in conjunction with State Park personnel. Each session is free, but
pre-registration is required due to limited space.
